# Cybex

Cybex is an American strength and cardio name, long used in commercial clubs. Selectorized machines are what most floors mean by the word.

Cables, guide rods and pads are the usual parts. The arc of the movement is not adjustable by guesswork. Record the model before a cable is cut to length on site.

## Parts that come back

- **Cable.** Write which run you replaced, and whether the rest of the cable stayed. A visible fray is not the whole cable.
- **Guide rod.** Record if the rod was cleaned, dressed, or replaced. A stuck stack under load is not cured by telling a member to pull harder.
- **Selector pin.** A bent or missing pin takes the machine out of service. Write the pin, not only ‘the stack feels wrong’.
- **Upholstery.** Photograph the pad and name the machine. Recovering ‘the blue one’ is how the wrong bench is sent out.
- **Console and board.** Photograph the error code before anyone resets it. The board number is on a sticker, not in the member’s description.
