# First Degree

First Degree Fitness is an Australian maker of fluid rowers and ergometers. Water or fluid resistance replaces an air flywheel.

The tank and the drive are the parts that matter. A leak is out of service. Do not treat it as a wooden furniture repair.

## Parts that come back

- **Rail and seat.** A dirty rail is cleaning. A scored rail or a seat that sticks is a part. Say which.
- **Chain or strap.** On a rower or air bike, write the connector at the handle as well as the chain. That is where it frays.
- **Monitor.** A dead monitor on a mechanical rower or bike may leave the machine usable. Write that limit, or take it out if resistance depends on the screen.
