A new noise is a signal, a familiar noise is a note

Ask whether this sound is new. New, rhythmic, or linked to one part of the movement deserves a fault.
Floors have a background. The useful question is whether this machine sounds different from last week. A new knock in time with the belt, a grind when the stack returns, a buzz from a console that used to be quiet: write it down.
Familiar noise with no play and no heat can be a watch note. New noise under load should be heard by someone who can decide, not only described in a chat as “a bit loud”.
Where to stand
Listen at the speed or load the member used. A fault that only appears at a run will not appear in a slow walk. If you cannot reproduce it, say that, and leave the fault open if the report was specific.
Do not group every noisy treadmill into one job. One may be a belt, one a bearing, one a loose shroud. Three causes, three jobs, or one job with three findings after you look. Not one shrug.
A noise that arrives after a move is often an anchor or a panel, not the motor. Check the simple things while the memory of the move is fresh.

Rain and mud arrive on the first machines
The bikes and treadmills nearest the door take the water. Their faults are often the entrance, not the brand.
After a move, assume something loosened
Feet, shrouds, console leads, and anchors shift in a move. Check them the same day, on the same asset.
Belt dust is a maintenance clue
Black dust under a treadmill is not only dirt. It is the belt or the deck telling you they are wearing.
