A service contract is a set of jobs, not a feeling of cover
19.3.2025 · 1 min lukuaika
Know what they will attend, how fast, and what you still record. A contract does not replace the history.
Read the contract for three things: which machines, what response you can expect, and what is excluded. Write that summary on the relevant assets. A PDF in a folder is not available when a treadmill stops at 7 a.m.
You still open the fault and the job. The contractor works inside your record, or you will not know what they did when the contract ends. Their portal, if they have one, is their copy. Yours is the asset.
Exclusions are the useful part
Many contracts exclude misuse, consumables, or “normal wear”. If the belt is wear, you need to know that before you tell a member it is covered. Put the exclusion in normal words.
If the contractor misses the response they promised, note the times on the job. That is how you review the contract without relying on irritation. Irritation does not survive until renewal. Dates do.
A contract is not a reason to stop the weekly look. They are not there every morning. You are.

Rain and mud arrive on the first machines
The bikes and treadmills nearest the door take the water. Their faults are often the entrance, not the brand.
After a move, assume something loosened
Feet, shrouds, console leads, and anchors shift in a move. Check them the same day, on the same asset.
Belt dust is a maintenance clue
Black dust under a treadmill is not only dirt. It is the belt or the deck telling you they are wearing.
