Do not stock parts you cannot fit or identify

If nobody on site can fit the part safely, it does not belong in a drawer as a plan. It belongs on a supplier’s list, ordered when the job exists. Circuit boards without a machine name will be fitted to the wrong console by someone who is trying to help.

Take a photo of genuine spares next to the label, and throw out or return what you cannot identify. “It came with the gym” is not a part number.

Warranty and stock

Fitting your own part can end a warranty. If the machine is still covered, the job should say that before anyone opens the shroud. A saved afternoon is expensive if it voids the cover on a new treadmill.

Review the shelf twice a year. Anything that has not matched a job, and that you cannot name, is not stock. It is clutter between you and the pin you actually need.
