Train a new floor lead on the open list, not on the settings

The first week is: find a machine, open a fault, close one honestly, and hand over. Menus can wait.
A new lead who can recite every field and cannot find treadmill 4 will invent a parallel system by Friday. Walk the floor. Open a real fault together. Take a machine out of service and put it back. Write a resolution that is true.
Show them the bad examples already in the file: the blank closure, the duplicate, the chat-only incident. Those teach faster than a tour of empty screens.
What not to start with
Custom fields, report layouts, and branding. Those are for a quiet afternoon after they have survived a weekend. If you start there, you signal that the software is the job. The job is the floor.
Leave them a short written rule for unsafe versus everything else. One page. If the rule is a binder, they will ask a colleague and the colleague will invent a variation.
Check their first ten closures. Praise the specific ones. Reopen the empty ones with them, without making it a trial.

The useful sentence is whether they can use it, and whether you already know. The part number is not for the floor.
Reset the rig to a known plan after class
A rig left as the last workout set it is a different machine. The closer puts it back and notes what broke.
Find the model and serial number on gym equipment
The model and serial are on a plate on the frame or inside the console bay. Photograph them. If the plate is gone, say so. Do not invent a number.
