The floor under the machine is part of the machine

A torn tile, a wet patch, or a platform that rocks will be reported as a fault on the treadmill standing on it.
Members do not separate the belt from the floor they step onto. If the platform rocks, or the tile is lifted at the edge of a treadmill, the fault may arrive as “treadmill unstable”. Sometimes the treadmill is fine and the floor is not.
Look down on the opening walk. Lifted edges, soft spots, and water trails belong in a note on the zone or on the asset if only one machine is affected. A wet trail toward a cable is a safety fault.
Do not bolt a fix into a rotten patch
If an anchor will not hold, the job is the floor as well as the foot. Write that, or the next person will keep tightening a bolt into nothing.
A platform you build for a rack needs its own check: movement, sharp edges, and whether it has become a step people use by surprise.
When you replace flooring, record which machines were moved and put back. The history of a rattle that started “after the new floor” is otherwise invisible.

After a move, assume something loosened
Feet, shrouds, console leads, and anchors shift in a move. Check them the same day, on the same asset.
Belt dust is a maintenance clue
Black dust under a treadmill is not only dirt. It is the belt or the deck telling you they are wearing.
