Matrix

Matrix is the commercial brand of Johnson Health Tech in Taiwan. Cardio and strength from Matrix are common in clubs and hotels, including in the Netherlands.

Touchscreen consoles are a part with their own number. Belts and cables still wear underneath the screen. Record both lines on the job when both were touched.

Parts to write on the job

• Running belt

  Write the length and width from the old belt, not from memory. A belt from another series of the same brand often does not fit.

• Console and board

  Photograph the error code before anyone resets it. The board number is on a sticker, not in the member’s description.

• Cable

  Write which run you replaced, and whether the rest of the cable stayed. A visible fray is not the whole cable.

• Upholstery

  Photograph the pad and name the machine. Recovering ‘the blue one’ is how the wrong bench is sent out.

• Deck

  Note whether the deck was flipped, dressed, or replaced with the belt. A new belt on a worn deck comes back as the same fault.
