Precor

Precor is an American commercial brand known first for cardio: treadmills, ellipticals and bikes. Discovery-line strength exists too. The company has been part of Peloton since the acquisition. The name on the frame stays Precor.

Elliptical ramps and treadmill belts are different parts. Write which Precor it is. A console fault is not a reason to order a belt.

Parts to write on the job

• Running belt

  Write the length and width from the old belt, not from memory. A belt from another series of the same brand often does not fit.

• Deck

  Note whether the deck was flipped, dressed, or replaced with the belt. A new belt on a worn deck comes back as the same fault.

• Console and board

  Photograph the error code before anyone resets it. The board number is on a sticker, not in the member’s description.

• Drive motor and incline

  Record motor or actuator numbers from the part you remove. Do not order from the marketing name on the shroud.

• Cable

  Write which run you replaced, and whether the rest of the cable stayed. A visible fray is not the whole cable.
